10-Minute Vegan or Goat Cheese Cheeseballs: Herb and Orange & Pistachio Cranberry!

These festive cheese balls make the perfect holiday appetizer or accompaniment to your charcuterie board, and can be put together in 10 minutes! More time with your guests and out of the kitchen, that’s my kind of recipe! These also appeal to guests that may be vegan by using cashew cream cheese as the base.

Ingredients

Pistachio Cranberry

  • 4-8 oz of Cashew Cream Cheese, goat cheese, or spreadable herbed cheese. You can make one large ball using 8 oz, or you can do two medium-size balls which is what I have done here. I have also done a tower of tiny herbed goat cheese balls which can be very festive and stacked into a Christmas tree shape.
  • 1/2-1 Cup of roughly chopped pistachios depending on the size of the ball you are making
  • 1/4 Cup of dried cranberries ( I used Baker’s Choice that are soaked in orange peel oil)

Orange & Herb

  • 4-8 oz of Cashew Cream Cheese, goat cheese, or spreadable herbed cheese. You can make one large ball using 8 oz, or you can do two medium-size balls which is what I have done here. I have also done a tower of tiny herbed goat cheese balls which can be very festive and stacked into a Christmas tree shape.
  • The zest of an orange or a few clementines
  • 1/4-1/2 cup chopped herbs ( I used sage and rosemary this time)

Chop nuts and herbs, and zest the orange. Place cheese onto a sheet of plastic wrap and gather the ends together so the cheese is completely covered. Begin to form the cheese into a ball shape and roll with your hands. When you have reached a uniform ball shape, roll the balls in the mixture. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
